I was born in Connecticut, and raised there until I was 13 with 3 younger siblings. We moved to Houston, Texas for my mother’s job. During high school, my interest in computers turned into an A+ certification through CompTIA. This was the first time that the school sent students to test for the full certification. Before finishing High School, we were moved back to Connecticut. At this point I had 6 younger siblings. From there I started working in a warehouse to help my family with needs. I then enlisted in the Army in July, 2001. My first day of basic training was Nov 5th 2001. As you can imagine, even the Army was changing pace then. I chose to apply for duty station of choice over the sign-up bonus because I wanted to get back to Texas. It worked.

I married my best friend Arlie on August 3rd, 2002, then deployed to combat in March of 2003. This made for a “trial by fire” for our relationship that has endured everything thrown at it. Moves, station assignments, field ops always seemed to be the norm. We had decided to make the military my career, and it seems that was not the plan. I was medically retired from Active Duty in the US Army after 8 years. 2022 marks our 20th Anniversary and I could not / would not imagine life any other way. We now have 2 daughters and are always moving and shaking.

Hobbies: I enjoy many hobbies most of which include my wife and 2 daughters. Anything from video games, card games and puzzles, Renaissance fairs and outings, to leather crafting, R/C vehicles, wood working, etc. We have many home projects including my wife’s garden, 2 goats, 3 dogs and 2 cats that keep our house full of entertainment. We do have a large group of people to our home almost every Friday for what we call “Coffee Night.” It started small, and is now an 8-year running Friday fellowship of friends and family. We love to share our time and place with others as often as possible.

Here at OCS, I conduct management tasks at our Fort Worth office location, as well as field and remote work tasks supporting multiple client’s needs such as phone support for issues experienced by the end users. I assist with SonicWall router and Unifi wireless hardware configurations, general network maintenance and server administration for multiple clients, and assist other techs with the same tasks. When needed, I assist with project coordination for installs and network moves, as well as interfacing with clients when needs arise to determine the best solution for them. I have been with OCS since 2010 and have enjoyed being a part of this company. We are not a cubicle company. We get out there when needed. We have an amazing client base and I am excited about the years ahead.
